The Christine W. was built in Parkersberg, West Virginia on the Ohio River in 1993. In 1994 she was sold to an operator in Newport Beach, CA. The vessel was called the Newport Landing Belle and did charters on Newport Bay until sold to the current owner in 2003. The vessel was moved to Seattle by truck and the name changed to Christine W. in memory of the owner's niece who had died of cancer in 2003.
The Christine W. is 68 feet in overall length, 15 feet wide, and draws 26 inches of water. She has four rudders and is driven by a ten foot diameter paddle wheel. She is powered by a 76 horsepower diesel engine. She also has a 60 horsepower diesel that drives a 27 KW generator. The Christine W. is one of the few paddle wheel driven vessels on the west coast.
